Tennessee grants unto Welcome Butler 50 acres bearing the date the 28th of October 1825 lying:

On the South side of Cumberland River and bounded as follows to ___ Beginning at a stake in the north boundary line of John Blacks 640 acre survey the South east Corner of Samuel D. Kendalls tract Running thence South with said Kendalls east boundary line 112 poles for a Beech and Sugartree on the Bank of said River thence with the meander of said River East 71 ____ tenth poles to three maples, thence South 112 poles to a Stake in said Blacks north boundary line. Thence West with said line 71 and thence ___ ____ to the Beginning.
