Scanland. Transcription of complete court file of
appeal from Jackson County Chancery Court to the Supreme
Court of Tennessee on file at TSLA, ca 1826. Suit over
ownership of slave girl who lived with Price Butler and
his wife Lucinda Montgomery. States that Price Butler
was a brother to Bailey Butler. Also some genealogy of
the Montgomery family.
